Back in October, ESPN published an article reporting that several league executives believe that Los Angeles Lakers are preparing to make a run at LeBron James as a free agent during the summer of 2014. While it's purely speculation for at least another year and a half, bringing LeBron to Hollywood isn't out of the realm of possibility, particularly for a franchise that has a history of reeling in the big fish.
Perhaps giving us a preview of what life with LeBron in LaLa Land would be like, Gilbert aka Trbo823 recently styled up this "Lakers" colorway of the LeBron X on NIKEiD. Taking on the team's famous scheme, the shoe features a Tour Yellow upper with contrasting purple accents. The inner collars have been iD'd with "Showtime" and "LakeShow," while Gil's favorite number '29' appears on the medial tabs.
Is the LeBron to LA speculation a bit premature? Perhaps, but as the absurd custom REV30 jersey in the photos suggests, Mitch Kupchak could be the guy that gets the job done.
